Sean Scott, Author, The Red Guide to Recovery

Our guest this morning is Sean Scott and he has the distinction of being our first guest to do back to back shows. Sean is the author of The Red Guide to Recovery – Resource Handbook for Disaster Survivors and shared some valuable information with us on our show last week. We wanted to invite him back to share a little more information on a very important, yet seldom spoken about topic. Sean will discuss post-disaster scams and what disaster survivors often encounter when first responders leave the scene. Sean will share valuable insight into some of the tricks and tactics used by "disaster chasers" and scam artists who prey on people who have lost a home or suffered damage after a disaster event. He'll discuss some common ploys and how they are used on unsuspecting disaster survivors to win their confidence and drop their guard.The state of chaos created by a disaster coupled with the lack of knowledge of what to do in the aftermath, makes disaster survivors vulnerable to the many pitfalls that often accompany post-disaster scenarios.
