On May 1, 2014 the Greg Jackson candidate for Orange County Commissioner District 2 issued a press release stating ‘I commend Alvin Moore for bringing to light the $250 campaign contribution of Scott Batterson to another candidate in the District 2 race. Mr. Moore pointed out that in his estimation "[Mr.] Batterson's tainted money doesn't pass the smell test." I (Greg Jackson) must in turn request that Mr. Moore abstain from any and all votes related to a land purchase deal regarding the Hungerford property in the historic Town of Eatonville by SKL Equities of Eatonville, LLC ("SKL"), because in Mr. Moore's own words: It doesn't pass the smell test. I make this request due to Mr. Moore's relationship to SKL's ownership and the appearance of impropriety'Tonight he will join Tezlyn Figaro moments after the press release to explain his comments!
